Denim Skirt

So what do you do on a 37 degree day???? You make your daughter a lovely denim skirt for winter of course. Recently I have been going through my 3 year olds wardrobe doing the usual culling of clothes and realised that she really doesn't have many winter skirts. If your little one is like mine she just does not want to wear pants it has to be dresses or skirts preferably ones that twirl are better if you ask her. I had some denim in my ever expanding collection of fabrics so decided to alter a skirt pattern I already have. I added more pleats & also put a small zip in the side for ease of getting the skirt on & off. Also has elasticised back. It was a challenge making this skirt not for the difficulty of the skirt but of my 3 year old constantly wanting to sew mummy a dress as well. I think I have a budding fashion designer here. Can't wait for the winter fabrics to start coming out so this MissMouse can come up with some new designs.
