Something a little different ........

I had seen this blog awhile ago http://bustleandsew.com/applique/chillington-prepares-free-scrappy-union-jack-pattern/ & really wanted to give it ago. I know it's a canvas picture but as soon as I read the blog all I could see was this in a cushion cover. My husband's nanna is a very English lady & I instantly wanted to make it for her. I spent about an hour or so in the lovely local quilting shop Hetties Patch picking out fabrics. I chose a cream linen for the main cushion piece & then the floral prints are from Moda French General range.
Here is my spin on the Union Jack cushion.
